As part of the transformative Waterford North Quays regeneration project for Waterford City and County Council, we were appointed by Roughan & O’Donovan as Architect and Lead Design Consultant to deliver key infrastructure elements, including the North Quays public realm and the new Transport Hub.
While the initial brief clearly defined the operational requirements of a terminus railway station, several key aspects remained unresolved, including passenger comfort standards and emerging third-party conformity assessment requirements. We led the process of developing and refining the brief, helping to provide clarity, which has enabled the project to progress smoothly through planning, design, and delivery.
